Becca Tabb received their B.A. in English from Bryn Mawr College and their M.F.A. in Creative Nonfiction from Colorado State University. While in their master’s program, they developed a hybrid-genre practice with their writing and abstract expressionist oil paintings.
They are concerned with memory, grief, the body, and ecology. Becca’s work hopes to blur, challenge, and disrupt the lines between human and greater-than-human experiences, as well as confront the heartbreaking limitations of being human. Their work asks: What have I lost, what remains, and what sits between? How are grief, climate, family, and the body wrapped up in questions of representation? More than grief, climate, family, and the body, how do we live with our realities and ourselves?
Becca’s work has appeared at Wolverine Farm Publick House, Bloem Gallery, and elsewhere. They live in Fort Collins, CO with their partner. You can reach them at tabb.rebecca@gmail.com.
