ABOUT THE ARTIST
Colorado artist Becca L. Tabb is an abstract expressionist oil painter, writer, and archiver of memory. They are inspired by grief and climate. Their work blurs the viewer’s understanding of human and greater-than-human worlds to identify the reality of being human. They ask, what have I lost? What remains/sits between? How are grief, climate, and family connected? And primarily, how do we live with our realities, or ourselves? The keystones of their portfolio are Memory is Sedimentary and Pet Portraits.
Becca received their B.A. in English from Bryn Mawr College and their M.F.A. in Creative Nonfiction from Colorado State University. In their MFA program, they developed an interdisciplenary practice between writing and oil painting.
They have shown their work at Wolverine Farm Publick House, Bloem Gallery, and elsewhere. They live in Fort Collins, CO, with their partner and retired sled dog. You can get to know their writing at www.beccalettuceandtomato.blogspot.com.
